Rate's nice, but you'd have to pay even more to get me to accept the new AA work rules and compensation package compared to our existing contract.

Simplest example is a weekend layover trip for Fedex is in the 12-18 CH range, new work rules for AA puts it in the 8-12 Range because mgt just doesn't want to pay pilots to sit on their keisters in the field
Just to clarify. The minimum 3 day trip at AA will pay at least 11 and change thanks to trip and duty rigs. While we don't have the coveted "5hr min day" that guarantees 15hr 3 day trips where you sit all day on day 2, the majority of our 3 day trips pay at least 15hrs all the way to 19 +. That said, we do have industry standard trip and duty rigs that ensures we never see less than 10hr 2 day trips and less than 11hr 3 day trips. So the 5hr 2 day and the 8hr 3 day do not exist here.
Our contract was not stellar as it's our first post-BK JCBA and delta and united are both well into their second and third contract cycles since their exits from BK. As I recall, their first post BK contracts were a lot worse than ours.
The pay rate is great, we just need to come back up on the work rules.

At FedEx, min for a 3 day trip is 18,
Our min is 6 per day, fun to meander about town on the long layovers, I know I've seldom felt better rested while working for FedEx.

1 day to recover from....then one day to rest up for makes for a great trip.

Typically had about 11sh landings in my 90 day lookback when I held those lines

Well with work rules like that, why would anybody leave? I sure as heck wouldn't!

How about "AA plus a nickel"?

OR, match AA, and give us a $5 per credit hour night over ride!

How about holiday pay for the junior guys? You want a doctor's note for being sick on a certain holiday, fine, pay us draft pay for any trip that touches the holiday, the day before, or the day after! No draft, no doctor's not required, it's that simple!

The more the company delays, the more I expect out of my NC!
Seriously??!!

Wow! With this Attitude we are all screwed. AA plus .05 Cents?

Try Again. PLEASE! Maybe AA rates plus 20% is more like it. Please change your lowly standards for the sake of us ALL.

Not entirely true.
Our min of 6 per day is true, but 18 for a 3 day is not true. Depends upon what you call a 3 day. After one day your talking trip rig. So if you're gone 2 1/2 days (60hours) (which most would call a 3 day trip) pay could only be 16 hours.

I don't care what they call it, retro pay, signing bonus. 2 yrs. X 1000hrs/yr X $60/hr. raise. The price to the company increases daily. That's the minimum price they are going to pay for not believing I deserve a contract. FedEx better get use to it!

3 Days in grand forks is restful, and the pizza guy does delivers up to -10 degrees. But the walk to Walmart for the six pack of bud gets real old.

FDXLag,
We get plenty of those garden spots as well!
Grass is not always greener... We have plenty here at AA who would jump at the chance of working for you guys. Especially the guys who voted No.
Our pay rates are great. But we still lag Delta in total compensation, mainly due to their profit sharing.
Baby steps.... I do believe our work rules will eventually come up. Much like they did at delta and united.
Hope you guys get a kick a$$ contract!
