FDX Rally - Retro Pay
This needs to be loud and clear to the MEC and NC.
100% FULL Retroactive Pay.
No Signing "bonus".
Not even close to closing out a TA currently ... but this is a deal breaker. Outrageous profits gained off our backs requires retro payment in full.

One problem with full retro pay is that those that flew extra will benefit at the expense of those that didn't! For that reason, I like a signing bonus. I don't want to reward those that flew 100 plus hours while I flew BLG or less.

Some got their signing bonuses already?
Maybe they could work out some sort of deal where the folks that worked more than average BLG get a smaller signing bonus. Those folks sort of got their signing bonus already!*?
With the lost time value of money, should we get more than retro pay? The Company is making OBSCENE PROFITS and jerking us around for the "sport" of it.
Pilots and their families deserve better treatment ... and I didn't even get my "Thanks for your military service" pin!

And a Signing Bonus $ is usually way less than Full Retro.

Give the total amount of retro dollars to the association for distribution. Pay everyone retro up to guarantee. Don't pay retro for those hours beyond guarantee. Use an aggregate number for the whole time period. Association keeps the rest of the money in a specially earmarked legal fund, charity fund, grievance fund, etc. Nothing to be used by reps/officers/employees.
Done.

Not being argumentative, just trying to temper your expectations with a dose of reality.

I think every pilot should receive for each month since the CBA was amendable a percentage (the Retro Bonus Rate) of their pay rate (based on airplane, seat, and years of service) multiplied by the Average BLG in the bidpack (based on airplane, seat, and base) they bid in each month.
I don't like the idea of lump-sum that The Association gets to divide, for two reasons. First, the amount is arbitrary, and does not reflect the contributions of each and every pilot. Second, it leaves the Association open to criticism and even lawsuit regarding the method chosen to divide the lump sum.
The Company has all the data it needs -- the pay rates, the seats we held, the average BLGs -- all we need to do is agree on the formula, and the "Retro Bonus Rate."
And the Retro Bonus Rate needs to be a big one.
It's time to head to the Rally!

Just take the credit hrs for what a 4 week and 5 week month would pay, add them up for a yrs credit hrs and pay that as retro. Do not give any of it to the Union to distribute. Pay the retro based on how long someone was a FO and Captain if they upgraded while we have been in negotiations. I didn't like the last signing bonus where people got more money if they had just upgraded to Captain by a day and made the cutoff for signing. If you were an FO for 3 yrs and a Captain for 2yrs, then pay according to the pay rates you had during the past yrs. I agree we need retro so it will force the company to make a deal instead of dragging things out.

I think everyone has great ideas concerning retro pay and signing bonuses. I will tell you what I want. I want full retro pay AND a signing bonus! Retro for what I worked and bonus to cover the lost time value of my money and for all the BS the company has put us through. I'm tired I hearing their discussions on industry standard practices. They only identify with industry standard when it benefits them, never us.
