Forget the shortage, how about we collectively demand contracts
better than ABX. Atlas is on the right path. Southern Kalitta get it
together. No more C scale. I'm ready to send DHL A collective
message. 1224 time to LEAD If DHL punishes one lets send them
a unified message.

Yea, 'cause DHL would never be able to find any other non-union airlines to fly their freight.
1224 is unable to do anything about this. Nobody works directly for DHL and just like any consumer they are free to shop for the best deal they can find.

Over 750 pilots are currently flying for DHL in North America who's gonna replace them? Anyway thanks for the economics lesson your
probably right. We should sell our skills to the customer on the cheap.
...... On second thought I think I may go a different path, who knows
where it may lead.

DHL can shift flying from one carrier to another in relatively short order. But it is ironic that the same pilots will probably fly the same routes, just with a different employer as they are furloughed.
If only there was some way to retain longevity as we are bounced from one carrier to the next. Like a clause in all 1224 contracts that states the company must hire a furloughed 1224 pilot before anyone else, and that the pilot would retain his longevity for pay from his previous service with a 1224 carrier.

that compensates your pilots fairly for their efforts. I know you
all fly some of the more challenging routes beyond DHL
