AJT is a company that manages to turn something that is enjoyable into a miserable experience. Their CEO and incompetent managers are miserable people that treat the pilots with total disrespect. I could drone on until next Sunday about the eight year sentence I served with them. If you are a scab, felon, or just a plain weirdo, this is a place for you. There are a few people that continue to push for a new contract, the the anti-Union stance of every person down to your van driver will demoralize you. You will have funny stories for your friends and family when your sentence is up, so I guess that is a plus. Like the chief pilot with 13 felony convictions...like the captain who lights off an engine on a takeoff roll...like the scab check airmen who couldn't fly their way out of a paper bag....like the pilot who was terminated on the spot in Lima when he gave his two week notice. No ticket? That's a YP, not an MP. You have been warned

Well, that's not good,Not good at all. But I guess widebody PIC time, or the chance to fly the old 3 holer around for a year, might not be bad? Get out of it what you can and move on I guess. I mean holy hell everyone in the world is looking for crew.
The training is all done at Pan Am as well. Get copies of your training records and get a better gig. Just an idea. If t becomes a training center, maybe they'll make the place better? I know crazy rght!

D.B. And his ilk have been taking refugees since before the Eastern debacle. Twenty five plus years of finding desperate people is a long track record. The only thing that ever changed was when the IBT was brought in to keep them from openly destroying people's careers. They walk a fine line now, knowing that there are tools at a pilot's disposal. But...with so many compliant captains willing to bully a newbie, it is not so easy to do a year. Worse, AJT has gotten a bad reputation with hiring boards, certainly at my airline. Young guys need glass, not a year on a steam gauge dinosaur. Corporate PIC on a modern airplane is much more valuable.

Saw 2 Amerijet 72's this weekend at the heavy maintenance area at LAL during Sun-n-Fun, could be going there to die?
There was an old DHL painted 727 further down and a paint job I did not recognize.
Wish you luck flying there, I love fla., but Michigan has 3 727 ops that I know of, 4 counting the outfit out of toledo....
MPILOT - please let us know how you do there, I hope it has gotten way better.
