New KIND Descend VIA STARs

Head's up. There are 4 new Descend Via RNAV STARs for Indy. They go active this week (April 30/May 1). The controller tonight said FDX had Indy build them to increase arrival efficiencies. First I'd heard of it. The arrivals are in Jepps. I didn't check to see if they're in the FMS yet though.

 Aren't they just new RNAV STARs? Any STAR (RNAV or otherwise) can be flown with a clearance to descend via any altitudes published, right?

Does this mean we have to update our iPads?
