Saw a 5/8/15 posting for FO position for several more locations for the ATR than I have ever seen posted before... (MCO, TPA, several more)

I plan on stalking Flight Aware to see what hours the ATR flies, everything I read seems to say the flight time is about 2.5 hours a night???

Has anyone heard of someone working Mt. Air Cargo at night and doing another job during the day?

Many thanks

Any idea on what goes into being a 'floater'?

Not sure if I take in enough fiber...

As a floater you basically have no base. You live within an hour of your home airport and are commercially flown where you are needed. You fly out on a Monday and return home on Friday unless operations dictate you fly into Saturday. You do this for 3 weeks then are given 1 week paid off. You can work that paid week off if you like for double time. Per diem while away from home us $32 per day. They say they provide hotel and rental car while away. Was told not to expect 300 hrs a year in flight time. Hope this helps. I am heading up for final interview in a week but would like to talk to pilots working there. Management always makes things sound much better then things actually are.

That's not too bad!!! So, if there was a Newark floater, do you have to airline out of Newark? Would they do SWF or POU?

Floater = Not based with aircraft, you'll work out of a different city every week, position is used to cover sick calls,
pilots scheduled time off etc...

Any current (or past) 208 guys have any insight on how many hours you fly per year, on average?

C208 Single pilot or dual?

I'm considering a position at Mountain Air Cargo, I was just curious if anyone knows do they fly the Caravan single pilot or dual? The position is advertised as Captain with no FO positions listed so I can assume that its single...just wondering if anyone out there works for them currently and can offer any insight....Thanks
