So, according to Jenkins letter we have directly helped save the company $350,000,000.00. I'm sure many managers are enjoying their MBO'$ while the company won't even give us the respect of a contract in return. He certainly is giving us a new culture to live by.

The culture of managers should read " help me, help you, help me.

You obviously don't understand - we (as pilots) have not saved the company a penny! The authors of Fuel Sense have saved all that money by forcing the new procedures on us! Therefore; they deserve all the credit and any bonus that goes along with it - capeche?
At a Family Awareness Event last month SS said we don't get any Contract Negotiating credit for fuel savings as that was already figured into their $1.6B cost cutting by way of newer more fuel efficient aircraft. Did you guys actually think we'd get credit for that? But ... the former SCP bought a nice new car with his FUEL SENSE bonus. Folks should be glad for him! Did he get to keep his short call parking when he changed offices? |

Now children, lets have a group hug while we sing our favorite Purple Dinosaur song:
"I love you, You love me, This is our dysfunctionality, With a nice big bonus, all for me, this is how you will help me!" Priceless!!!! |
I saw him in his shiny new ride at the Germantown Starbucks. He didn't even offer to buy my old school coffee.... who would of thunk it lol

These guys are unbelievable. Talk about no SA at all. Did he really think that we would be thrilled to hear about how much money we are saving the company, while we twist in the wind for 4 years? What a tool.
Crew bus driver told me that the company is essentially admitting to the Union that we are so short, they cannot operate during peak with current staffing. Easy way to fix it…. get out your checkbook. We have so much leverage right now it's ridiculous. I know how I am going to personally operate in order to maximize it. I would like to think that enough of my brothers and sisters will do the same. It's time to step on their air hose. |
When the cash register stops that's when the company will stand up and take notice. Until then they will continue to play us like a bad fiddle.

And we had so much leverage on the FDA LOAs also, but our collective knuckheadedness was overwhelming. |
I find myself feeling a little skeptical and maybe even a little paranoid these days when the company admits to a $350M savings.
My first thought when I read this was; what's really going on behind the scenes when they're throwing a $350 M distractor at us? Are there bigger savings, efficiencies or profits behind the curtain that they are hiding? |
