FDX - Live anthrax inadvertently sent by U.S.
The news media says that there's a chance the Military sent LIVE ANTHRAX via FedEx (despite the USPS trucks shown in the CNN sorry). Hello Negotiating Committee & ALPA Safety ... what kind of hazardous duty pay do we get for this?

Minor clerical error, nothing to see here.

Hopefully all involved are okay and didn't get exposed.

Now I'm wondering if that is why I feel like crap lately.
Or maybe it's just that I'm too old for night flying. |
I'm sure my CO2 monitor around my neck will keep me safe!

How come we get to find out stuff like this from the news media and not from Management?
Pentagon accidentally sent live anthrax samples to labs via FedEx | The Verge http://www.wmcactionnews5.com/story/...-through-fedex "FedEx is committed to the safe transport of all customer shipments, and our priority is the safety of our employees. We will be working closely with the Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control to gather information about these shipments." |
Id rather not fly it...you can keep your hazard duty pay.

Can you call in sick for anthrax or do you need a doctors note? Shirley no one thinks management will ever mention this but they will make sure you remember there are mountains near ABQ.

Checked with ALPA and the company didn't bother to inform them either. In fact, I was told that the company has NEVER contacted ALPA. If the NTSB or FAA doesn't contact National, they don't hear about it. Guess that was alluded to in the recent Positive Rate note from ALPA Safety.
