I-Pad holder

Anybody know who to contact at the company to get a new I-Pad leather cover. After several years of glue and tape my cover has just about had it. Thanks

"You'll get nothing and like it!"

You only get one - no replacements.

The best cover going is by Zaggs. It turns your IPAD into a laptop with the keyboard. It is the Zaggsprofolio+ and it's only $75 from amazon. Had it since I got the IPad and I will never go back FWIW. Good luck.

Anybody have an idea of the case that fits into the airbus EFB bracket?

I prefer the Zagg ProPlus.

Its less than a quarter of an inch thick, has a backlit keyboard, strong magnets hold it to the iPad, and it allows for super-easy, super-fast transition to/from the Company iPad holder, which to my knowledge is the only way we currently have to legally secure the iPad for use in the cockpit.

A Kneeboard is also an authorized way to secure the iPad. Just don't think it's very useful.

I would sit on my hands for a bit before committing to a new iPad case at this juncture unless you can find a good inexpensive one. The iPad Air 2 is the replacement and should come within the near future as we've entered the 2016 fiscal year. Any case you buy now won't fit the iPad Air 2.

If you need one bad, the Targus cases have the same form factor as the Jeppesen case but much better quality. They were as low as $9 at one time on Amazon (originally over $60) when quantities were high and the iPad 4 was replaced by the iPad Air.

One person asked if the case would fit in the EFB holder. Believe it or not but the mounts that we currently have are certified to be used in the aircraft. Removing the EFB and clamping the iPad in the holder is in violation of the FAA certification. Don't be seen using your own mount, putting the iPad in the EFB holder or placing the EFB on the floor. Aircraft engineering has stated the EFB will be either secured in it's provided mount or in your hand for briefing. Any other place is prohibited.

Aircraft engineering needs to install equipment in our cockpits that can be properly dimmed.

Until the EFB can be dimmed to match the brightness of the instrument panel at night, it is going on the floor, behind my bag. Safety of flight.
