Assuming it is, it's a personal decision of which the individual may have many answers, such as:
Not flying ACMI
Having a schedule that never changes
Never being ridiculously jetlagged
Being home every week
More money
Domiciled where they live and no imputed income
Quicker upgrade
Just a few ideas.... "Flying a 747 all over the world" isn't for everyone.

Too bad there's no shortage of pilots trying to get hired there (including myself). I keep running into captains at the regionals, G4, plus ex World, North American, DHL guys etc. with decades of experience. Many have been updating they're stuff religiously for years and they still haven't heard a peep.
Then, I have a buddy who recently got the invite, RJ FO with no internal recs or TPIC, nada, just sudden email. But, he never responded either, as he already has a class date at JB. It's a little disheartening.
Still though, good news is good news. Maybe someday.
