All this does is lower our support from other pilot associations, and **** off a large percentage of our members.
Why?

This is why.

And, guess what? "A large percentage" of airline pilots ARE NOT GA PILOTS. I'd argue the majority of airline pilots are golfers or fishermen. On top of that, do you really think AOPA/EAA pilots support ALPA's agenda.

NOT.

How about a little critical "big picture" thinking instead of worrying about having to get a 3rd Class to fly your bug smasher. You don't want Congress involved in ANY aspect of how you earn your living. We've already got the FAA, the TSA and the NTSB up your butt. You really want the Congress up there too?

REALLY?

ALPA is a joke, so glad to be out from under its yoke, my frac's Union is in house , effective, and represents our interests, watching this , and the follies at Delta right now makes me think ALPA is all about ALPA, and not the pilots who pay for the worlds most expensive magazine subscription.

Now I get it. Typical ALPA hater who blames ALPA for his furlough instead of the company that let him go. Well played.

Get a clue , I was never furloughed under ALPA so once again you are spouting off without the facts, and hardly a typical ALPA hater, just a former member who looks with shock and dismay at what that union has become. Packrat you are a stitch.

How about a little critical "big picture" thinking
Here's a little big-picture thinking for you:

1. Class three medicals are none of ALPA's business

2. You, and our esteemed president, have no idea what the membership's majority opinion is on this

3. All the other aviation advocacy groups are furious about this. At ALPA. I was at the AOPA tent in Oshkosh for three hours on Sunday. We have lost ALOT of friends.

And for what? What did we gain, really?

Don't say "to keep congress from any aspect...." Age 65 was the very definition of congressional meddling and ALPA national was orgasmic over that......

How big a hole do you think a 777 would make after it was hit by the same light twin?

I'll miss seeing all of those guys at any future picketing events. Their support at the last one was unbelievable.

Actually, at any of our past picketing events, I'd wager 40-50% of the pilots there were AOPA members. And maybe 25% were EAA members. And they're mad about this. I say again - for what gain?

Huck , a lot of guys , for them this is just a job, some of us are geeks who fly for the love it, along with the money, we fly In our free time, we belong to AOPA, EAA, Yankee Air Force, Collings et al, we care about this, a lot of our brother/ sister rank and file , not so much.
