Best cargo carrier if you live in Atlanta?
Hi,
I'm in the Air Force and might be getting out next year. I live in Atlanta and want to stay there if I get out.
Is there a cargo company you guys would recommend me trying to fly for in order to stay here? I have about 2000 hours of which 1700 is multi-engine jet time.
Thanks!

Of all the cargo carriers out there, the only one worth heading over to (outside FedEx or UPS) is Atlas, and you're prolly short on experience for them, but you never know. Their little experiment hiring droves of Barbie Jet drivers seems to have failed, and they are constantly looking for guys with heavy international time.
If you get an offer from ANY Miami based cargo carrier or other ACMI carriers, run. Especially the one operating 737's out of CVG, because that's what you'll end up on, and the commute is miserable, by design.

Stick with ASA/ExpressJet. With your mil time you'll likely get an offer from Delta before your first year is up.
