The "First Officer" job you have inquired about has been filled. You may go to http://www.upsjobs.com and check for other opportunities with ups.

Anybody know what this means? My application still shows on file (not that are going to ever call anyways)

Was your friend hired, or put in the pool?
There is a difference.
Trust me.

I interviewed in Feb. Placed in pool.

Was told recently they're finished hiring for the year. They will be hiring for attrition.

These 3 groups are the result of 33 line pilot announced new hires. Does not include previous new hires in 2015
18 started Aug 10
8 started Aug 31
guessing remaining 7 new hire line pilots on 9/14.
They hired 4 FQS (non union) in addition to the 8 in the most recent class

I'll say it til the day I retire or leave this workers paradise....

Seek life else where, you'll thank me and the others that told you this some day.

Seriously, everyone and their brother is hiring. why you would want to incur the stress and belittlement of being here is beyond me.

You do know that we have people "checking" us (our version of check airmen, if you can call them that) with less time than most regionals require for a captain, yet at wonder brown they are instant check airmen and "managers". ZERO time in an MD-11, the worlds most notorious transport category aifcraft? NO PROBLEM, Then they'll make you an instructor AND check airmen.

Once again, seek life elsewhere.

Carry on.......
