FedEx Feeder Curiosity
I've been curious recently about the Feeder operation, and since nothing is really published about them, I am trying to compile a list of carriers and aircraft types. If I'm missing something from the list below, please let me know...
Corporate Air, "Air Spur", 37 C-208 Wiggins, "Wiggins", 32 C-208 Mountain Air, "Mountain", 40 C-208, 15 ATR, 2 F-27 CSA, "Iron Air", 28 C-208 Empire Airlines, "Empire Air", 34 C-208, 14 ATR WestAir, "Pac Valley", 32 C-208 Baron Aviation, "Show Me", 36 C-208 This totals, 239 C-208's and 29 ATR's. Am I missing a carrier or are the fleet sizes wrong? FedEx's website says there are 253 C-208's and 40 ATR's owned by FedEx in operation in the Feeder system. Just wondering where the other's are. There are some Feeder ATR's in Eurpoe operating under Air Contractors, and there are some Feeder C-208's in Canada flying for Morningstar, but I don't know if those are owned by FedEx. Again, just killing time and curiosity, so any changes to the above list, please let me know. Thanks. |
It is my understanding that the C-208s up in Canada with Morningstar are owned by FX aswell. I think the 727s that Morningstar owns are theirs though.

FDX Feeders
In regards to the 727's operated by Morningstar in Canada.
These A/C are all owned or leased by FedEx. They are in turn leased/sub-leased to Morningstar. This explains the Candian registation numbers, however the Fedex numbers are on the nose gear doors. Fedex owns all feeder A/C operated by the operators in N. America. |
Don't really have anything to say. I just wanted my girl next to yours... ;) ;)
