They have a CBA with the pilot group. Seniority rules, unless you are a Scab, then you would be a direct entry check airman. With the new ownership/management, there have been positive changes, but the pilot group is still heavily influenced by Scabs.

Your boy JV was sure eager to come to MIA and fly... guess that's one way to get yourself noticed by Hete.

Yep he and his buddy MW. The thing that amazed me was the cadre of standards instructors who worked in management refused to fly. That took balls,........crossing a picket line didn't .

Smile Amerijets pilot schedules

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering about the pilot schedule at Amerijets:
How many days on, days off?
Any plans to open any other base ( I live in MIA area so will not go to another base )?
Are all the flights at night?

Thanks, Really appreciate any info.

All I can tell you is that they definitely have some daytime flights. Amerijet flies the living crap out of some of their aircraft, sometimes going 24 hours-ish with short ground turns. And sometimes, (therefore?), they break.

Good example: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N316CM It's sitting on the ground now after a diversion, but look at the schedule over the last two weeks, starting at the bottom and reading upwards.

Nobody can say they don't get good utilization out of their 767s.

A fair number of short hops, as well as longer flights South. They also have at the moment one transcontinental flight weekdays for UPS (PHL-SMF-PHL).
