Foreign security/customs
Just curious about what some of your opinions were on foreign customs/TSA officials. Even when traveling as a crew in the US, if not using KCM, there seem to be some pretty overzealous officers who enjoy dumping out my roller board because of too many quarters in one spot or whatever. It seems that what sets off alarms in the states, isn't even noticed in other countries. W.T.F?? Is there a reason for this? Are there countries outside the USA where customs can be more difficult on incoming/departing crews? I've heard that ANC can really hassle inbound crews..

I'm submitting a big BS on this thread! Smoky comes out of nowhere asking leading questions about security procedures and by looking at his profile he appears to work at a commuter job. We all know a commuter pilot would never have enough spare quarters in his bag to be able to raise any eyebrows going through security! 😉

Possibly due to the fact that since the TSA is a US government agency and there are no TSA officials outside the U.S. Maybe other countries allow their security agency to use a little more common sense than we do.

Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, I guess I did throw in a little BS there when I wrote about having too many quarters, it was a mixture of coin, mainly nickels and dimes. Either way, my initial question remains the same. Is there a requirement that i have over 150 posts on a public/anonymous forum before I ask a simple question? If so, next time I'll just post 150 pointless/bull**** opinions to all the gossip that gets thrown around on here before I ask my real question. Would that give you a better false sense of security as to my credentials? Also, I've probably been on APC longer than you anyhow. Unfortunately, due to my inability to word responses in a respectful and tactful manner, my membership/username has been banned once or twice. So here I be, on post number 3 but really post 1000+. Also, if you think that I'm actually going to put down the planes I'm typed in and the current aircraft/seat I'm flying, you're mistaken. But I'm glad you automatically assumed I was a commuter guy.

And, you can see how long I have been on APC by looking to the left, if you are on a laptop, or clicking on my profile if on a phone.
