I think better pay at Atlas and better work rules at ATI. If it was me I would choose Atlas over ATI/ABX.

I guess the big question is whether ATI will be better than Atlas after the contract gets amalgamated.

I'm curious as to why anyone would want to work at places like this when there is better out there. Has no one been paying attention over the years about ATSG/ATI/ABX???

Some of us need a job, and don't qualify for the majors, nor do we want to work at the regionals... home basing is a big QOL item for many of us as well.

I want to fly airplanes for a living.

Currently the other half of the equation makes 200k+ a year selling real estate. It's dumb to remove that income from the equation without something like a career companies salary to offset it, so no moving into base until hired on to a major.

Regionals don't pay enough to be a first choice contender for commuting during 11 days off a month.

My home based options are:

$38k a year 8/6 rotation jet sic.

$65k a year King air 200 PIC working 5 days a week, being gone most weekends and major holidays so a rich dude can party in return for 2 sick days and 5 vacation days a year.

$700+ a day King Air PIC flying OCONUS to the ****holes of the world dodging mortars manpads and IEDs in return for 6 months off a year.

Living in ****holes only gets one so far, and getting shot at was cool in my 20s. I want a job where I can hang my hat for a while with decent pay and work rules while I gain 121 experience until I get a job with a company that can offer me a career. Atlas Seemed like the place to be until it turns out that they're looking at adopting SAI wages and work rules, putting them below ATI/ABX and Kalitta has a strike vote (and it seems like Atlas will eventually at this rate).

I am interested in ATI as well. Home basing is a huge plus for me as commuting from parts of the Northwest can be a challenge. From what I have read on previous posts on APC and other forums that the Amazon contract is for 20 additional aircraft? Are the DC8's still in use and how many other aircraft is ATI currently operating? Also, could someone from ATI elaborate on the schedules available and if they vary between airframes? Thanks for the information.

ABX should be opening the window soon.

First year pay is similar to ATI. However, ABX Second year is $82,109.00 ($27,000 more than ATI) with 14 day off minimum. 4th year is $98,415.00. ($28,000.00 more than ATI).

Per Diem is paid daily whether you are on duty for 1 hour or 16 hours. Domestic $52 / International non pacific rim $79.75 daily.

I'm sure this is a work in progress, but what kind of schedule could we expect at ATI? The monthly guarantee seems kind of low, how often do you go over?

Also interested. A quick upgrade with a long term aircraft contract would make me much more interested.
