Suspension of disbelief? Check. You've got that part nailed.

You're working for the Neffs.

Been there, done that.

Example: APU? Screw it. Don't need it. Call it a "crew convenience" item and let the bastards roast...

Well, at least in the MD you can open a window. In the Whale we only had the chimney up top. In America you'd go to jail if you left your dog in your car with temperatures we suffered through in Africa on a daily basis while loading cargo.

With the Neffs? Bidness as usual.

To be fair, slimy as they are, at least they knew how to generate business. Something their successors (still) can't figure out. So you can at least rest assured your paycheck will arrive on time. Your soul will be left feeling empty, hollow, violated and dirty, but you'll be able to shovel plenty of Ramen noodles down that gaping maw.

Gotta hand it to the Neffs. They somehow fooled a lot of people into thinking it's still 2008... Good for them, I guess.

Just remember, the only easy day was yesterday.

Gringo is dead on right. --- Further :

April 7, 2009
U.S. Labor Department's OSHA, after investigation, ordered Southern Air Inc. ( Neff was CEO of Southern Air until 2010. Neff is now CEO of Western Global ) to pay more than $ 7,900,000 to nine former employees in wages, damages and legal fees.

No no no. You're approaching this all wrong. Your problem is that you're taking the point of view of a decent, caring conscientious human being.

If you want to keep your sanity while working for the Neffs, you have to THINK like a Neff.

This aircraft fire is an opportunity. See, the airplane was at least triple insured; the Neffs just scored a massive payday!

Yeah sure, guys got hurt and whatnot, but that's just bidness, ya know? Stuff happens! (Don't worry; they're not losing ANY sleep over this incident)

Welcome to NeffWorld. Hoping for a pay increase or improvement in QOL? Not in this lifetime.

The 24 mo contract is enforceable(?) Did some research. FL is work at will, unless, something other was agreed.
