Most any airplane will invade that orifice with something if you aren't careful. MD is no different.

I mean especially with that smaller horizontal stab.

My fear, the incredible safety record we have finally achieved here in the United States will finally reverse.

The FAA and corporate types have not woke to "the new reality" as you put it.
Well, being that one makes it to the line, there’s a ton of OJT.

Well said... I love flying the MD11, great airplane. But I treat it with great respect at the same time.

Hold on, a tic. Your "reliable source" has asked others in the company, but doesn't know? Doesn't sound very reliable. In fact, you're asking others inside the company...does that make you a reliable source, too?

I have a very reliable inside source which tells me that there have been quite a few training failures... what’s going on with that? What happened?

Also, how long is ground school, how long or how many sim sessions do they give you and who does all the training?
Never mind that man behind the curtain ...

Training failures, yes. Bring your A game. Time to work.
Ground school; I think 6-8 weeks. I believe training pay is $100/day confirm with WGA.
Sim sessions. Plenty. It’s a full blown professional program run by WGA staff. If you’ve got a great attitude and need more sim or IOE then my experience is you will get more, no problem. If your a broken toy then I don’t want dead weight sitting next to me.
Sim location: MIA for now.

The company is growing and we need good guys with even better attitudes. If I can sit next to you for 12 hours and have a stress free flight your my kind of pilot.

I don’t get on this board very often, but I hope the info helps.
