I'll start by saying that I'm no fan of Soaper myself, but I have to raise the BS flag when I hear crap like this. There was no CRM/System classes in December and he was in attendance at all the November dates. This past week was the first class in January and haven't heard from anyone in the class is he was there or not. Either way 1 class missed wouldn't be a trend of not going.
I also guarantee you they are very aware of the number of people leaving.

FWIW, I had training in November and Soaper did not show. Further, he has not shown for any of the classes I've had since his arrival.

If you are trying to come over here...just look at the facts....why do you think the new hires that has spent over a year (which means out of probation) are leaving as soon as something else comes up?

Realistically, there is a very good reason to come here. You may get opportunities that you never would have had without this experience. My whole reason for taking the job at ABX was that it looked like a place with a future, but I also knew that if that didn't pan out, I'd have part 121 international heavy experience, and those are boxes I hadn't checked before. That so many people are leaving within a year or so after arriving says a lot not only about their views of the company, but also about the doors that this job can open. So while I wouldn't encourage anybody to come to ABX as a great career prospect (at least as it stands now), I also wouldn't fault anyone for taking the job with an eye toward using it as a springboard toward better opportunities.

well different points of view...knowing what I know now...I would have stayed as a Captain in my previous job....many of my friends with 1000 PIC got hired by UPS and FEDEX without the heavy experience....so go figure .

So uh, anyone want to gaze in to their crystal ball and give a guess on when a contract is reached? And if, when reached, it will be Kalitta +?

When and if it is reached AND ratified, it will absolutely be Kalitta +.

But that’s all a big if. As anybody knows who has been through negotiations, we won’t get a contract until management wants one. Right now, they clearly don’t. It will take outside pressure to change that. In the meantime, we will continue to have a lot of junior FO attrition.

Thumbs up

Thanks for that. Guess I'll do my shopping elsewhere for the time being.

I've received a call to schedule an interview. Is there some type of training contract?
