Dumb UPS poolie question
 

alright, I am probably being stupid but I need to ask. At the end of my
UPS interview I was asked what I would like to fly at UPS. I told the
interviewers that the 727 would be neat before it is gone ( I was an engineer on it at a prev job and would love to fly it) or that the 747 would also be neat, but really, anything with a brown tail is fine for me. They wrote down 727 and 747 and that was that. I wouldn't think that it has any bearing on when/what you get for a class date, but the recently hired guys that I know at UPS all got what they said they would like in the interview. I assume that when your number is up for class it is up regardless of what is avail (except for the heavy/international guys of course) and you will get what you can with seniority in the class. Not trying to read into that question too much but just curious....

You'll be fine. I don't think your answer as that much bearing on it. You'll most likely be in class soon so it won't matter. I understand being anxious though.

I was asked the same question and actually answered the 727 for the same reasons as you. At the end of the interview I was asked, "we know what your wish list is, but would you accept any aircraft in the fleet?" Naturally I said yes, and will probably get MD-11 ANC, but I will gladly accept it.

A friend of mine interviewed in July and he told them he wanted the MD-11. When he was hired he got the MD-11.

at the end of my interview they asked what would be my dream aircraft assignment at UPS and i told them my dream assignment would be 757 capt out of miami.....think that'll happen? haha

Congrats to all of you recently hired by Brown. For any of us waiting for a call, are there any recent trip reports out there? I haven't found anything newer than Jan 06. Any guidance would be appreciated!

I did mine two weeks ago today. Last Friday I was asked to email them my resume. Needless to say I am going nuts over this!

I hear ya'. I had uploaded my resume with the application so I'm just waiting and hoping.

I thought I had done that as well. I am thinking that maybe it was messed up somehow as is the whole computer process!

Razor, I'm in the same boat...took the psych test last weekend. I had my resume attached to my app also. I'll keep the cell phone close this week. I wonder how many others out there are waiting on the call...

Ok, dumb question but, when they e-mailed you a request to do the online assessment, did your spam folder send it to spam or did it come in your in-box? I doubt they've contacted me, but I was just wondering.

I am in the same boat as many of you. I finished the online assessment on 1/31 and I am still waiting to hear back. I am wondering of the problems with the app system is effecting this as well.

It came to my inbox but I check my spam folder these days too just to be safe.

Any idea when they will reopen the online app. system again?
I realize they are shutting it down once they find 100 qualified applicants.
Historically, just wondering how long it has taken before its reopened.

The new process is only about 6 weeks old. I don't think there's enough data to figure that out yet.
