Default Kalitta Int'l Jumpseat out of New Delhi help

Any Kalitta types out there that can answer questions about jumpseating out of New Delhi..?

Looks like Kalitta has a a nearly daily flight out of New Delhi to Hong Kong. I'm a Delta pilot over in India for about 2 weeks. Delta doesn't fly to India anymore and after the ID90 fun I had on Jet Airways to get here...I'd prefer to try other options to get out of the country. If I can make it to Hong Kong I can pick up a Delta flight there or try to make it farther with Kalitta or Atlas to get back Stateside.

Anybody with an expertise on this? How would I list for the jumpseat? Where would I meet the crew? Clear customs? etc..etc.. Any help would me much appreciated. Reply here or PM me.

Thanks

ACM requests are handled through flight operations dept. First time jump seaters must call at least 24 hours prior for employment verification. Unfortunately Kalitta's reciprocal jumpseat agreement list includes Delta only for domestic flights.

I knew UPS and FedEx's policy specifically says domestic flights only, but looking at the ALPA site for jumpseating I don't see the domestic restriction listed there. Where are you seeing it is for domestic only flights?

I'm trying to depart on the 13th and the first Atlas flight I see is on the 16th from what I can tell. I'll keep eyeballing their schedule, but might be slum-dog millionairing it outta here on the ID90 again if Kalitta isn't an option.

11th, 15th, and 16th (Z dates) flights to HKG on Atlas. Good luck with the Delhi Belly!

K4 uses the FDAR system to verify international flights. Cass does not work internationally. Delta does not participate in this program. I can be completely wrong when I write this but I think I am right...... The issue is as simple as Delta supplying a contact number that K4 can use to verify a pilots employment when the jump seat is requested. I am not on the JS committee so I may be wrong. I just checked the latest revision and see that United and UPS are the only Majors on there.

Anybody in the CASS system is on our domestic list

Maxjet beat me to it, but our GOM has a list of CASS approved airlines who can jumpseat on us domestic and a list of FDAR approved airlines who can jumpseat on us international. Recommend you talk to your jumpseat committee, cause it sounds like a simple paperwork exercise to get Delta FDAR approved.

Thanks to everyone for all the info. I'll play the game a bit and send an email to the jumpseat guys in hopes something can be done. Lots of options out of New Delhi with the ID90 and worst case I buy a ticket. At worst it's an interesting exercise in finding out how all the int'l jumpseat stuff works. At best it's a ride in the top of a 747 vs groveling to get a middle seat in economy outta here.
