You should go through here and read all the post between ATI and ABX.

In todays market absolutely not a place to stay, no ACMI is. Who cares what kind of company it is. GO THERE get a FREE type and a few hundred in the 75/6 and move on. You'll make more than ANY ACMI captain your 3-4th yr at any of the majors.

Looking for a little help/insight....

I've been trying to apply to ATI (APC page says they're hiring) and whenever I get to the careers page, there's no First Officer selection. Is the FO window only open at certain times or is it continuously open and I'm missing something?

Thanks!
AP

Sorry, didn't see that you posted here also.

I just checked the "careers" link and it does appear that the window closed again. It does open/close periodically.

I'll put in an email to HR and ask them, if it is indeed closed for a bit, if there is a date when it will open.

It is my understanding that we are hiring 12 every three weeks. That being said, the last two or three classes have been only 6 hires to ease up on the bottleneck with getting peeps into IOE as quick as possible.

hope this helps,

FAJ

HR says that they are working through the applicants that they have on file now, and will put out an email letting us know when it reopens.

We have been interviewing six every week, so I hope it is soon.

I or someone else will post here when it does open.

Whaddya mean "what?"?

Obviously, you simply don't understand that anyone who's ever so much as looked at an airplane should have no problem getting hired by Delta or FedEx just because they want it!

No, but anyone with a pilot's license and a modicum of self-respect and respect for our industry should be aiming higher than ATI in this environment. Theres a whole lot of 'not bad' gigs between ati and fedex. You don't have to go to a bottom feeding trojan horse like ATI!

And you need to get over yourself, woog! There's also a whole lot of a lot worse that's between today's snapshot of ATI and the true bottom, so go pick on Southern, if you need to feel big. And before you feel the need to defend your brethren, I came from the original SAT, so nothing you could say would be a surprise. SO..., anyone with a pilot's license, a modicum of self-respect, and at least a pulse (or fog a mirror, to quote motorclutch), can get a job somewhere. But give us some time. If we aren't bowled over by events that are completely out of our control (and yours...), ATI has some potential to be a nice "middle-of-the-road" goal for those who have no chance at the big league, but are better than the opportunities that lie in the muck at the bottom.

Will we each have propertay bordering Mar-a-Lago? Probably not. Will ABXers be clamoring to jump ship to join our side? I'm guessing that's a "no" on principle, even if we got a purple CBA. Although, we did welcome and fully accept (assimilate) the refugees of the big downturn with open arms. Will we have a nice comfortable life? That's the plan. Will we be peeing in trash bags? Absolutely not.
