I called Sheppard Air regarding their airline interview test prep. They advised me not to buy their prep material for OAI’s test because they had reviews from guys who interviewed at OAI that stated it did not help with the interview test. This is in line with what others have said that it is mostly instrument knowledge and not 121 specific.

Things may have changed, but when I interviewed a couple years ago the manager escorting us encouraged us to demonstrate good CRM while doing the written test.

FWIW.

This may be because they change test everytime. They told us the group that was interviewing the next day would have a different exam then us.

It wasn’t a temper tantrum, it was a “micro aggression”.

Just be yourself! The HR part is really just about getting to know you and if you’re cool with the schedule and what not. They asked me why omni, walk me through your resume, what do you have to bring to the company.

The 20 questions written test is different for each interview day. I’d suggest brushing up on Jepp charts and instrument procedures. I didn’t have a single ATP style question.

The sim for us was done in three different groups. Since we had 20 people interviewing. one group went to the 737 and the other to the A300 and 737. Two raw data approaches, one go around.

Goodluck

You all will meet in the hotel lobby at 6pm with the Captain. He will brief you on what to expect the next day. The homewood suites offers free beer and dinner. After the briefing we all got together for some beer and dinner. I believe they were serving hot dogs, burgers, and a salad bar.
