Career advice?
As a fairly young military pilot trying to make a civilian career would it be a better move to go somewhere seemingly more stable with a flow such as envoy or to go somewhere like Omni air and hope to still get with a legacy eventually. I hadn’t considered Omni but having recently met someone that’s planning on going there has sparked my interest. Especially since my end game goal would be to basically fly the same equipment as Omni but for a legacy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Military helo guy civilian fixed wing cfii currently.

I don't know how long you have remaining in The military, but things may change when you are ready to go to civilian flying. If you have a short time left before you are done with the military then my first advice is figure our where you want to lay down roots and pick UPS, FedEx or a legacy (no particular order) carrier that have bases close to where you live this will keep your commute time to zero or very little, better quality of life.
Then secondary will be places like jetblue, spirit, frontier.
Now if you enjoy being gone a lot and flying all over the world then pick a charter outfit, but I would leave them as my third option .
By the way with your military service your resume usually goes to the top of the list at all of the big carriers.
Best of luck and thank you for your service.

Dont go charter
Stay as far away from the Omnis and Swifts as you can! Go to a decent regional with either a quick command or flow, or both, and get to the majors. Being military, you’re near top of the pile aready.
Good luck and thank you for your service.

If AA is the goal... go to somewhere that doesn’t have a flow. As a military guy, you will get hired there MUCH faster than waiting in a flow (a friend finally flowed this year from Envoy after 12 years). Same for Delta.
If UPS or FedEx is the goal, any 121 operator will do

Thanks for all the advice guys. I have 4 more as a commitment to the guard and I think I’m leaning to envoy because they have a maintenance hub at my home and I have the ability to bid for overnights that’ll get me home. I don’t really have a preference just the typical AA, Delta, United, UPS, FedEx and Southwest. I do like The idea of having a decent cost of living at whatever domicile I’d be at though so places like Fort Worth/Dallas that are more reasonable are much more appealing than let’s say Chicago or New York
