Anyone got intel on this operation? Fly CP Air | Information about CP Air They have been trying to get off the ground for awhile. Even had an E-175 all painted and ready to go back in 2013-ish, but it never materialized. Then in Nov 2017, they announced an April launch date. That came and went. Now the Orange Site has been showing recruiting activity for a couple of weeks, even flight attendants. Now E-145 ops. The job listing aims for a Q3 2018 launch. Looks like they would operate under ADI's certificate which I've heard mixed reviews.

Interesting. Elite was handling the contract for Caljet out of CRQ until a few weeks back but claim they are returning with several new routes. Last I heard was Ted V. (CPA) was given a hard time securing a certificate and hence the reason for no airline. Sounds like June may be quite an interesting month at CRQ.. ED: just read your link. It's all starting to make sense. Those are the same routes CalJet was to be returning with. Hmmm..

Elite was performing CalJet by Elite services as an ACMI contractor. Evidently the father-son team operating CalJet (with a history of shady travel-business practices and some jail time in their backgrounds) didn't pay the bills they owed Elite.

I think I understand why Elite stopped that service!

Wow was that a pig that just flew by?

That 170 sat on the ramp for literally years.

They still don't fly that 170 , only ADI's 145s.

I believe that ERJ-170 is now at KDVT, Honeywell’s ramp.

Nope, in service with an airline in South Africa.

Looks like there is a big push to get CPA airborne very soon. Many job listings at 350 and bizjetjobs. Most recruiting action I've seen in a long while.

I spoke with HR at California Pacific Airlines yesterday. They were super friendly and eager to get an interview scheduled. Unfortunately my timeline for retirement from my current job didn't work for what they need at the moment.

I was given the following information about the operation:

They are planning a 4 on 3 off schedule for their pilots
PIC starting pay is $70,000
SIC starting pay is $50,000
Medical/Dental/Vision coverage provided
Will be flying the EMB-145 out of CRQ (Carlsbad, Ca)

As far as location goes, you couldn't ask for a nicer area. I REALLY hope they are successful.......this would be a perfect retirement job for me.
