Miami Air Files for Ch11

So let me get this straight.......
Management is giving the middle finger to the pilot group and deliberately violating and defying a
major part of the contract??
Why the hell is the pilot group not taking them straight to court....like....yesterday??
Not doing that sets a dangerous and terrible precedent for the WHOLE INDUSTRY.
Hell....I’d get the Fla attorney general involved as well and see if there are any criminal statutes they can be charged with in addition to civil court

Miami Air
The last 5 weeks have proven to be some of the most epic in my lifetime and certainly not for the best. Not only the stress of society trying to hold off a pandemic worldwide but also a change from a strong economy and job market to huge increases in unemployment and a looming economic decline.
I hope all of you out there are surviving the physical and emotional stress. My particular thoughts and best wishes go out to everyone I knew and worked with for many years at Miami Air which went into bankruptcy this week and furloughed so many. May you have the strength, perseverance and faith to make it through these tough times. Unfortunately much of the airline industry is probably not too far behind Miami Air and I wish my friends there the best as well.
Ironically I’ve done a lot of flying during this period. Very busy in the beginning and less so towards the end. Met a lot of good and interesting people all over the country and Caribbean and also many very apprehensive about the future. What I’ll remember most though is the eerie, emptiness of so many places, airfields in cities like Knoxville and Pittsburg crammed with parked airplanes for storage, big hotels where only a handful of us are spending the night, flying over familiar freeways at rush hour that have traffic more suitable at 3am and being upgraded to 1st class along with the other 5 people on the airplane.
Have now switched to 20 days of social solitude with one of my sons, as most of you are as well, and trying to keep my immune system strong while worrying about every cough and sniffle. It’s a time to catch up on things in life and to focus on faith and the truly important things of life.
I wish all of you and your families good health and success through these “interesting times”

You know...ZR29907 you are the scourge of many a forum here at APC and I'm sure on many other forums found on the internet. Judging by the significant amount of posts you have on any number of different airlines forums I'm guessing you don't have much of a life outside of your "keyboard warrior" existence. Sad...

I'll be here for a while. Pity that you all can't take an objective look at your own worlds... it's what I do and it makes fools like you uncomfortable, fortunately.

Sorry to all the folks directly affected by this. I feel for all of you. I hope you all find work quickly. As has been said by many and repeated now by me; we will get through this and be stronger on the other side of this. Good luck guys and gals. Better times lie ahead for us all.
