Anyone have any word on bases, salary, schedules yet?

Breeze has had their data now widely distributed and it's pretty bad; I can't imagine Xtra is going to be much better.

I got a follow up email from Xtra, and then a TBNT a couple days later.

Same here LucasM. A more detailed questionnaire about my 737 time, and then a TBNT email.

So the ones that got the TBNT email, did you do the Virtual Briefing and the Interview or not even that?

I've got an interview with them soon. Can anyone shed some light on the significance of 36th st and the general misgivings for these guys?

Same here, you guess they really want a 73 type
I have a ton of jet experience and 6 types and got the TBNT

This perplexes me. Presumably they can see from your resume or application that you don't have a 737 type or significant 737 flight time. Why put you through the pain of an interview and themselves spend the time and energy to interview people they know they won't hire? Is there a disconnect between those doing the invites and those doing the hiring?

Let’s face it the 737 is a light twin with a bunch of STCs as it has evolved to it’s current iteration... the MAX. Systems are extremely basic in design... thus not requiring a degree in aircraft engineering. Flying the jet doesn’t require one to be a graduate of the US Air Force Academy either. The CP/DO may deem the applicant trainable based, on their past experience. The training foot print is, as a general rule, the same for those who are and those who are not typed on the aircraft. The check ride profile is also the same. The only difference is an APD or FAA is required for the rate ride.
