Thank you! Now if only HR would answer the phone after telling me to call them.......

If I could explain what a great job this is, you wouldn't believe me. It's true the pay and retirement are lacking, but if you are looking for amazing flying experience, this is the place. Lots of days off too. I would consider this a huge step up from Allegiant...if you can take the pay. This is my favorite flying job so far.

Unfortunately after several airlines going under one tends to care less about the amazing flying experience and more about pay, benefits and QOL. Home -basing is a big plus though and days off at home. 60K a year for first year with no commute is pretty good.

With the caveat that if you like to fly, the 767 program is for you. If you like to get paid for NOT flying...777.

I appreciate all of the information! I'll see if anyone feels like picking up the phone today. Always liked Omni since they took me home from Iraq

FWIW the 767 fleet added one additional to what traditionally has been a 9 airplane fleet. Now with 7 -300s and 3 -200s is a 10 airplane 767 fleet. That includes the swap of the airplane sold to ABX and the newer one from China.

Chris, I can't say anything about Allegiant, but one of our top management executives went to Allegiant. I only say this because big O management views are inline with Allegiant. On the per diem discussion, I have received on average $543 a month for the last three years. If you are counting on that extra per diem in the previous post. (I wouldn't) Picking up an extra aircraft? I would refer back to Mr. Hunt's post I think he is dead on. I believe this is a wonderful company to start a career or end one, but not a place for a lateral move. Hope this helps to give some insight.

don't know what tail you are counting for the tenth 767
-300s are 342, 351, 378, 477, 441, 423 gone is 387 and soon 396

-200s are 207,225 and 234

total 9 (counting 396 as gone)however it would not surprise me to see another 767 soon

Much appreciated. I haven't been at Algt long but I'm looking for a home base with a lot of days off in a row (doesn't happen here). Just came from a regional and I'm on the young side. Thanks again for giving me the potential cons

Hey Guys, I am fairly new here...currently flying for a part 135 operator out of South Florida as a copilot for 1.5 years now, and really wanting to go to the airlines, but tying to avoid the regionals. Home based is super enticing since I have a small business on the side. I am low time but professional and dedicated...Is there any hiring movement going on at Omni at this time? I have applied last month but heard nothing so far. Can any of you fellas give me an insight about growth, hiring etc? I follow Omni on APC for a while now and seems to be a very good place to learn and grow professionaly. Hopefully I can fly and meet you guys..
Be safe and thanks for the tip.
