How long after you applied did you get the call?

Applied the 28th, app sent on the 29th and called on the 17th of Last month. I did send an updated resume in to HR a few days prior to getting the call. Best of luck.

Just out of curiosity, if you do not live near a gateway airport how does it work? What is the callout?

Hey y'all who does Omni have CASS agreements with? Does your family get any travel benefits? Thanks!

I've been able to jumpseat on everyone I've ever tried jumpseating on, which is all the legacies and ACMIs. I'm sure there's a list somewhere, but it's never been an issue.

The only "family" travel benefit is ID90 type tickets with UAL after one year. Nothing besides that.

Thank you. Is a short call assignment part of an awarded bid? Is there a limit to the number of shortcall assignments per line award?

No limit. Typically your first day always starts as shortcall. Apart from that all lines are awarded as long call or known flying.

As a piece of advice, do not come to an ACMI expecting lines and known schedules. The company owns you for 16-18 days a month... just plan on that. Apart from 117 and very limited language in our contract do not expect any sort of scheduling system or practices like you may have seen at a regional.

Note: Omni is much better than other ACMIs at having you fly the known flying you are awarded.

Thanks again. I do not live in one of the gateway domiciles listed. If I am fortunate to be offered a position, I am trying to figure out the number of times I’d have to JS and spend a night in a hotel. Is there any flexibility on the gateways?
