Planes. People. Pay.
The planes are well maintained. The pilots are professional. The pay is commensurate with the ACMI industry. Omni is good place to be.
There is a wide variety of experience here ranging from retired military guys / gals, regional pilots, former ACMI pilots, etc. Gateway domiciles are an absolute QOL enhancement that cannot be monetized or overstated. There are certainly improvements to be made here contractually, but overall this is truly a good place to be. IMO.

+1 on this right here. The operation all around is pretty damn good. The Mx department will listen to you (or at least pretend to.. which is also important) and address issues in a timely manner. Pilots are professional and often go "over and above" to get the job done. Which isn't a bad thing. It's not dangerous or being a company stooge. Just an honest amount of "lets move this airplane today" attitude. The training department is top notch and the fleet managers and chief pilot are here for us. It's a small tight group airline and it has the best attributes of that style of operation.
I feel like Omni from the top down takes pride in what we do and it shows.
The schedules are not too bad. They are cyclical with our customers demands. For the most part if you want to fly more you can, and if want to be at home on long call you can do that too.
Like Skypilot said, Gateway basing is priceless. I think management recognizes they have a good thing here. If they want to keep attrition low and attract good long term employees they have to see the value in home or gateway basing.
It's not perfect but it's not toxically bad either. If it was perfect we'd still be right here talking smack about how much better it should be. We all know that's how that goes.
I'm not touching on areas of the contract that need improvement because that's a whole other can of worms.

From the Omni Careers page under qualifications, it simply states must have the right to work in the United States and hold a valid passport with the ability to fly internationally to all countries Omni requires. Therefore based on this, a green card with a valid foreign passport would be accepted unless your country of issuance has restrictions on travel to a country that Omni serves.
