They furloughed off and on a few times---so long upgrade could be factual. They had 8 737-800s at one time, then downsized to 2; not sure how many now.

Silly questions to follow...

Silly question #1: Does Sun Country overnight at all those Mexican and Caribbean destinations, or are they flown as out-and-backs or turns?

Silly question #2: A lot of those destinations are "seasonal". What in blam tarnation do the pilots/crews do in the "off-season"?

Silly question #3: How many days off can you expect to get as a line holder?

Silly question #3b: How many days off can you expect to get on reserve?

#1 mostly out and backs

#2 from what I understand they havent furloughed in a couple years. and If you do get furloughed it is only like for a couple months.

#3 a&b reserve 10 days off a month a group of 4 hard days off then groups of 2 but on a 31 day month you get 11 line holders not sure since i prob wont be one for abot 5 to 10 yrs

I will get a bid packet and let you know about the line holders

I have interview next week.
Thanks and Congrats to you!
I will tell you it was the most relaxed interview I ever had. Friendly Outgoing snd Happy Midwestern people. your basic why we should hire you stuff.
Not one tech question just be relaxed be yourself if your a funny guy let it show. they asked me what my fav sit com was I told them then they asked me if i was a character on the show who would I be I told them they laughed.
I will say that everyone I have talked to there pilot wise everyone is happy there and likes it there small company everyone knows you. I been at OH for almost 11 yrs and it was tough for me to leave just because I will miss the people I flew with I know I made the right decision . Heck I even turned down Qatar interview because my class date was on the day of my ground school at Sun.

My backround experience is 10,000 hours DC-3 CV-340 CV-580 DC9 CL65 CL70 CL 90 PIC IN THE CL SERIES. goodluck!! not sure where you are coming from but if you get hired you will not be just a number at Sun. pm me if you want anything else Gooney

How are the travel benefits? Does a spouse or parent have to pay a "yield fare" to travel on SCA? Are there ID90 opportunities on other airlines?

Also, I know some majors don't allow regionals to jumpseat internationally. Can SCA pilots jumpseat internationally on anyone?

This may have been asked somewhere else, but I can't seem to find it. APC says that Sun Country is still hiring. Does anybody have updates on that? I am looking for any current information about the company I can get. I am very interested in them. Thanks.
