Atlas Duty Rig
Did I read this right, duty rig is now 4.95 hours a day?
Would this include new hires? If I do the math right 15 days out times 4.95 = 74.25 hours a month, right? |

One more question-
Are there 13 bid periods a year? Thanks ahead of time :) |
OSAVIP has it right. You could think of it as 24hr day/4.95 = 4.85+/- per day so a 17 day trip would equal 82.45, but he is more correct to go by the hours away from base calculation which would give you a more accurate number. The monthly pay is actually the greater of this number or actual block hours flown. These are the "greater of" for the entire month, not the "greater of" on a per day basis. FWIW in the 5 months that I have been on line, I have always been paid on the daily (time away from base) "rig" (if you want to call it that) rather than the actual block number.
Atlas pilots bid and are paid on a 12 month basis. I think there is an adjustment made for February by adding a day(s?) taken from Jan/Mar.?? 8 |

Included in our line bidding system now are lines that are 30 days, as well as 60 days...
There are reserve lines, and lines that have trips, and also "hybrid" lines with both reserve and trips. Reserve could be anything from home, base, and any location they want to put you on stand by... The only time the rig does not accrue is when you are on home reserve... |

Or in training. |
:o
Oh, how can I forget...training. Thanks. |
So lets say, for example that you had 17 days straight in R1 (which I think is hotel reserve, correct me if I'm wrong) You never get called, what would you get paid? Including per diem.....?
