The last class seems even more so that most guys that were hired were already typed, I.e. World and evergreen folks and even the high / higher time people were given less consideration.

Here's the latest as far as I know:

2 classics are getting parked at the end of the year which will leave 4 total still flying. I don't think they will displace guys because they were flying 6 with about 25 crews. If they do, it will be minimal.

2 400's are coming by spring. They are going to have to hire I think. Even with the last 2 classes, we are still short pilots. A lot of guys are here are shooting for the legacies and the attrition is picking up.

How is the training? I have heard a higher than normal failure rate?

Everybody in the last class had >5000 hours. Only one guy had a previous 747 type, but just about everyone had done ACMI flying before. (All except 2)

Don't get spooked by rumors about the training in my 400 transition class, and in the others in my timeframe early '13 everybody got through, there are some guys who are afraid of glass, and that is a shame because the 400 is one of the most pilot friendly airplanes I have ever flown, the Classic had a much higher workload even with an FE behind you.

Disclaimer I'm not with Connie anymore returning to a previous employer but I enjoyed my time there immensely, great guys and girls, great jet, I hope they get the great CBA they deserve.

Friend texted me that one busted out of November class. He said that this was the most ridiculous training program he has ever partaken in 25 plus years of aviation. Wonder what has changed since 2013?
