Charters flying the 727?

Which charters are still flying the 727? I believe there are still some sports teams using them. Are any of these companies hiring?

Your best bet is to consult Aviation Week's databases: they keep tabs on most operators and their fleets worldwide. Poke around on the AvWeek web site and you will find a way to access the data (you may have to buy the data). My experience has been that their data is fairly up to date.

Another source might be Jane's. In years past they have published hard copy summaries of civilian fleets: perhaps their information is also available on the Internet.

Roush Racing out of CLT used to have 2, but I don't know now. Very clickish, gotta be pretty tight with someone to have shot.

we love it,living in the DTW area is one of the last places on earth to see 727s flying on a regular basis, we live 10 miles from PTK and are greeted by the occasional 3am JT8D-17 wake up call as one of IFLs -200Fs launches westbound, lovely, lovely, jets, loud, smoky, fast, the way God intended them to be !!!

IMHO there is nothing like the security and comfort of strapping a B727 on my back. At times it could be persnickety at times, but she's a kind entity that took good care of me for many years.
