Omni has hired from all sorts of experience....On the B-777 the pilots that came from Great Lakes flying 1900's have done an excellent job transitioning to large jet international flying...The big thing Omni is looking for is PIC turbine experience and how you will adjust to long stretches away from home...Omni equally looks at pilots from 1900's to 747 PIC experience...The Chief Pilot is a good guy and straight shooter, so ask the hard questions if you get hold of him...The pay is not at the top of the group, but Omni has never been late, Omni pays their bills on time, and they don't owe any money to anyone...Most of the airplanes are owned out right..They play hardball with the union contract language, (That's our fault as a pilot group to let it happen) but what airline doesn't these days...THEY ALL DO!
