The only problem I would see is that some of these 60 day lines with much shorter trips are very likeable for certain people with certain lifestyles. So those lines would still have to have that. However the imputed income must be fixed in order for that to be a good deal. Why not just go with a more traditional airline schedule without "owing the company" anything per month and just having all lines be within a certain credit value.

This makes zero sense to me. In case you haven't been following the industry all the places that have taken concessionary contracts have since passed us back up with their new ones.

Might not want to mention that to some of them. You might get an earful about what they lost and won't ever recover. Even if they fly to 65.

This shows that you know nothing about the industry. They all have retirements they makes ours look like a joke (13-16% into their 401k) and pay rates that are better than ours. Oh, and their guarantee is higher, they work less days for more credit due to better rigs, and they can swap and drop trips. The only thing I'd get an "earful about" is how crappy our contract is and how long our trips are. Jumpseat much? I do, and that's what they say to me. Poor bastards. What's your next reason for why we shouldn't get a better contract?

Again....how did that work out at your previous carrier? (Trick question...we already know) If it's so bad here, why did you come? Just for the type and a paycheck until you could get a legacy to hire you to fly right seat for 8-10 years?
Nothing about the industry? Anytime you want to jump in the sandbox, feel free. Please do.
You knew what the flying was when you interviewed. Everyone told you. You read it. NO ONE hid it.
YOU choose to come here. Now you complain because it's not legacy flying or a legacy contract. If you knew as much as you claim about the industry, you'd know how long it took for them to get where they are. And what they have lost since the 80's when you were in grade school and a lot of us were getting a crash course on deregulation. Most of us have ram dumped more than you'll ever know.
A suggestion to you. From someone who has done more organizing drives, strikes, bankruptcies, contracts and other stuff than you ever will. If you want to be seen as part of a group that legitimately wants to find solutions; learn the history of this place before you go telling people what they lived and know and how to improve things here.
If your goal is high velocity verbiage...press on.
Your choice.

I didn't tell you anything but what the other contracts have in them. We get it, you like the current contract, want nothing changed because life is great, and suggest all of us who would like to fight for better here to leave.

And where do they fly? How often do flight schedules (not theirs...flights) change radically? How do they cover a flight that tanks? Where do the reserves come from?
