I saw a Dynamic plane on the ramp in Hong Kong and then later that week at the Haeco hangar for service.

There was a major furlough yesterday....no details but supposedly a large number of crew were let go.

Yes they did furlough out of seniority. I have a good buddy there and he was earning $400/day so he was furloughed to keep the guy making $300/day....Ha!...Ha!! is there really a pilot shortage?

I know several experienced captains went to the new Eastern. One went to Qatar Airways. Some went to a Miami based cargo operation. When I was there, it was the most disorganized mess I'd ever seen, and I've worked for some third world airlines in Asia and Africa. I couldn't believe a USA based carrier could be so screwed up. I'm sure no one would have gone back if they had a choice.

Rumor indicates roughly 6000-8000 / month (FO-CA) no benefits.
