Anyone have any info about the St. Kitts wing strike incident (A330 striking the light pole)? A high school friend was on the flight and she has posted a lot about it on her facebook page. Just a cursory glance at satellite pictures of the airport, it looks like the taxi lanes are set up to be nose in parking on the ramp, but it appears from the videos that the aircraft was taxiing across the ramp to end up parking nose out (towards the taxiway). But you can't tell in the videos if the crew was receiving guidance across the ramp as marshalers are not seen in the screen. My first impression is this is a case of the crew being set up to fail, but don't know what kind of briefings and/or guidance the crew actually received. Any info?
