Looks like Swift has taken over World Atlantic for the convict and illegal alien flying into KAEX. Probably since WA had that
md-80 incident at AEX. What's it like flying convicts and deportee's?

Swift has been doing it for over a year now. I know WA had it awarded on this go, but I think they’ve had some major staffing issues. Most of their pilots aren’t eligible as you have to be a US citizen.

Are the Swift payscales current?! even the small RJ charter companies Elite an Via are paying significantly higher than Swift if so. Thats crazy for 737 pay.

Yep they’re current. That’s what I’ve been posting they’re no where in sync with the industry, you can make more money as an FO at endeavor. Way behind the curve!

Would it be better to then take a job at a good regional like Endeavor over Swift? The wholly owned regional probably has a more solid pilot contract and more stable job, right? Or is Swift a good opportunity to get experience and move on to a Major?

I hate to say it but yes. I don’t think Swift will disappear or anything like that. But they have not made efforts to raise pay or adjust benefits to what the industry is. When you’re getting paid the same to fly a 737 vs a CRJ makes you wonder. Supposedly this month they were going to make a big announcement but nothing ever came.

I don’t even remember receiving “profit sharing” this year either.

If you’re interested in Swift I’d say it’s for basing. If you live in base like IWA your probably have the best QOL.

Health benefits are still expensive for a family.

We were supposed to get airlineapps and our IT guy shot it down and left the company still in the Stone Age.

The only thing that makes this place go is most of the pilots and flight attendants. People who work their butt off. In that regard your road crew becomes a small family all suffering the same problems. They definitely make the day a good one despite all the obstacles thrown at you.

I think their biggest challenge right now is they have grown so damn big they can’t control what they have. Not enough schedulers or flight followers. The lack of infrastructure is definitely hurting the company quality.

Hopefully after the summer rush is over they will be able to catch up with hiring, maintenance and more than anything occ organization.

And that overrun they had today and the earlier tail strike on the European contract won't help things either.
