Conspiracy theory:

RC & JC take DW to dinner in DC. From their experience with DW they think that even if Omni agrees to everything the Pilot groups ask for. The E-Board and DW will not let the Omni pilots vote on the contract. The company would ask to be released from mediation at this point. And the pilot membership at Omni to de-Certify the IBT. (And it would happen). Now the company imposes a contract that they think is fair.

Pilots leave Omni and new hires are unable to upgrade or teach. Operations suffer. Doors close. Management blames the Union and sues the IBT. The 1224 court costs are excessive and files bankruptcy. All the CEO's of 1224 airlines have a party.

If that is the case best to decertify and find a new local or union... make it a single vote (contract and change). Better to be the stepchild at a place that lets us set our own course than a bargaining chip for the Atlas crowd.

Yep, paint the Kalitta guys with one brush and call them jackasses because they are asking questions. That'll keep them in 1224. That's the best PR plan I've ever seen. Do you work for management or ALPA?

Some of you are way too much.
Let's all, including myself shut the F up and wait and see if we have a TA and then if we do that will mean that our NC got us what we and they wanted.
Then if the IBT 1224 stands to screw with our livelihood then we go for blood. Cause I for one will not stand for outsiders screwing with my livelihood.

RIP

Just a quick question... So, all of you wanting to settle for less, are you going to give up biz class travel? You all seemed so eager to vote yes right away... You can thank us later....

I think business class is a matter of preference. I like the FedEx system where if you elect not to take the first class a portion is put into a travel bank for use later on. There are valid arguments on both sides of the paid for pain vs business class over X amount of hours. Regardless, unless you, I, or anyone else is on the negotiating team there's nothing in writing that substantiate anything on these boards.

C'est la vie
