I never voice my opinion on here, but read this frequently. First off, I have much respect for the negotiating committee for their tireless efforts to make sure we get the contract we deserve. I do however agree with manowar with the lack of communication. I'm sure the committee is following Teamsters protocol, however, the union itself has left us in the dark. There was no official announcement (until I got an email this morning) that this week was supposed to have more meetings. It's all been third party word of mouth. We received the email yesterday that the meetings were canceled this week. This kind of communication is not acceptable, and I know from others who I've talked to that I'm not the only one who is more than frustrated.
I am optimistic that this mess will be behind us sooner than later, so a lot of us can decide whether to stick it out here, or leave.

Omni will get a better contract, eventually. But do you think it will ever approach one of the majors, or UPS or FedEx? Of course not.
