Who is holding out on healthcare, the company or the union?

Both sides seem to be holding out. The union negotiators don’t like the companies health care proposal and vis versa.

That depends on your definition of holding out. But basically both sides need to do something about it... there's no absolute solution.

Then again all my info about the other stuff being closed out could be wrong. Lots of bad intel floating around and about (even from other 1224 parties).

I think both sides need to negotiate health care and come to an agreement on it. Which is what I think you’re saying?!

To anyone that has been paying attention, it is obvious to notice that committee/union has dug into its position and will not move. Regardless of what some claim on this forum, the majority of the pilot group is behind it. From that standpoint, one can conclude that a weak contract at Omni this time around will not pass. Also why this offer will not be presented for a vote. And yes it might be a while.

So you're of the opinion that most pilots at Omni would not vote this through if presented to the pilot group?
Also, the pilot group is in favor of the "dug in" union position on healthcare?

Just trying to understand what the general consensus is with regard to negotiations and the potential new TA.

Some sources are saying the pilots would vote it in, others saying they wouldn't.
Some sources say it's close to being voted on, others say it won't happen any time soon.

Just curious why such conflicting information.

Because one side if a bunch of extremists in search of "respect" and the other is a bunch of extremists in search of delicious money (obviously I like the money). Contract won't be all things to all people and only the vote (if and when it happens) will truly show where people's devotions lie. Anything else is hearsay.

Your ID-10-T form expired and needs updating. It has nothing to do with respect.

Riiightttt... someone says theres two camps of pilots dug into their positions on what is important to them, says only a vote will show where people's interests lie, doesn't tell anyone how to vote or when it must be done... and you respond by calling them an idiot.

Anyway, to the observers... do you now get a clearer picture of why such conflicting info is out there?

It's not difficult to weed out the less educated responses. Thanks for all the information!
