Dutch80,
I disagree.
I think our Union representatives have done an excellent job. They got a better contract proposal out of the company than anyone could have imagined.
They just need to learn how to close the deal. It is done. Revel in it.

Frank,
I agree. The contract proposal, or at least what we can discern as such based on company communications, is indeed much better than anyone could have expected.
But 99 yards, while an excellent position, is not worth any points. One has to get in the touch down zone.
I will refrain from celebrating and conferring accolades till then.
Respectfully.

Enjoy your refrainment
I'm not much of a sportsball fan but I think sometimes ya gotta kick a field goal to win the game. otherwise...I suppose there's always next season.

The current schedule is 18 days on including travel days from home, right? Is going to be something like 16 or 17 with the new contract?

No one knows... just political foder from the company attempting to entice pilots with bullet points and no factual info. Once a TA is actually negotiated and agreed upon I'm sure there will be an answer to your question.

Well not they're looking for retro pay effective to the last mediated session... this makes some sense in that the company can be held to it's word about (paraphrasing) "we want to pay you more, but you're union is in the way". Both sides are so close to each other and yet refuse to make the final move (company not wanting to come to the table to discuss a few more items appears to be the main reason) that it's mind numbingly frustrating.
Anyway, hopefully some moves happen before the holiday. Not much more we can do at this juncture other than hope.
