Default CommutAir not at Oshkosh? No Problem!

All you APC watchers/lurkers out there looking to speak with someone from CommutAir at Airventure, company decided not to come (?), but I’m here all week. I can get you the low down on both the “good” and “could be better” aspects of working at CommutAir. I’m came here just over 2 years ago and just completed upgrade to Captain. Private message here or call my cell @ 517-612-9430. If you’re skeptical, No, I’m not a recruiter (yet), but YES, I’m trying to sign up as many quality people (recruiting bonus $$$) as I can find here at the show!

Might not want to use a phone number that's on the phone list (or put it up publicly at all).

Enjoy OSH! Wish I could go this year but life intervenes.

How is the CPP working out for pilots? Is it for real, or very low odds and it's just being used as a marketing ploy to keep their FO pipeline filled?

It is working out very well. We just lost three more pilots to United in the last couple weeks and we have more scheduled to leave next month. Right now, as soon you get your 1000 hours of TPIC you are in the next class at United.

CPP amongst the UA regionals has generally had about a 25% success rate between Passing the Hogan (Fail twice and you're ineligible) and passing the United Interview...

Its best to view mainline partnership programs as a recruitment/retention tool for the regional more so than an accession program for the mainline partner. Only AA uses its flow through program with its WO regionals as a primary accession source for new pilots (at the moment).

Everyone is guaranteed a chance to pass the hogan at least twice and then the interview. Not sure what our pass rate is since that is a UA secret. It used to be about 50% passed the hogan and then 50% passed the interviews from polls that were taken at another company.

If you do not pass the Hogan using the CPP, you can still get two chances off of the street with UA. With the CPP, you are at least guaranteed the opportunity to take the Hogan.

Yes, just like off of the street, but there is no Technical test / interview with the CPP.
