It is more than enough.
For the most part they try to pair CA with FO, but lately with all the movement there have been a lot of CA/CA and even FO/FO pairings in the sim. In this case you will have to know both seat positions. Not the end of the world as the flows are pretty easy, and considering you have 5 GFS lessons and 10 sim lessons you have lots of time to learn them.

FYI to those thinking about coming over:

160 pilots on property as of 1/1/2016.

327 pilots listed as of today 10/12/2016.

Goal is to expand the list to 600 by end of 2018.

Most junior CA was awarded to a new hire in most recent Indoc. class.

It will continue to be this way for months as we accept deliveries of 145s.

30+ new hire pilots last month.

30+ new hire pilots this month.

10 pilots flowing to UAL this year (1 guy was on property at C5 for FOUR years). 40 will be flowing next year at 10 per quarter.

Approximately 50 pilots are currently "accepted" into the CPP. About 25 of those pilots have the requisite 1000 PIC to flow. The other half will most likely be waiting on getting 1000 PIC instead of waiting for a class date.

We gotta get that option for 20 exercised soon, or we are going to be furloughing in 18'

That is interesting on the 1/2 of the CPP guys don't have the 1000 PIC.
I wonder if we will even be able to send 40 next year.

Interesting about the CPP, yes, but that's what it is.

Furloughing? I don't think so. The draw down on the Dash will gradual, and while that's happening, there will be attrition via the CPP and other places.

Based on the unofficial CPP list, we probably only have enough eligible for 1st quarter next year. The others are building the time requirements or finishing a degree. There are a few that will be gone before their number is called, due to offers from other carriers. If you have the time and prerequisites, you will go immediately.

Thats the thing, will we be parking -8's after we take the 40th ERJ?
I don't know the schedule of either plane, just the rumors and vague statements from management.

Based on what management keeps saying, I would expect the dashes to be parked as soon as they can. They've even said that if a dash is preventing erj routes they would park the dashes early and pay the fee on the lease for early termination. With the schedule of 2 jets a month, and the consideration of 3 a month, I would suspect that the dashes will be Phased out earlier than later. Of course these plans are all based on us being able to staff the planes. November the jet lost 300 hours to the dash due to staffing issues on the jet side. Class sizes have been large and there is a good amount of jet trained people.....the issue is that we can't do IOE fast enough. With the recent hiring of instructors this should help with this as the cadre guys will be able to dedicate most of their time to IOE.

Might take a while for street hire captains to get that 1k pic if they're stuck on reserve forever
