We have almost 9 pilots per plane right now, so about 550 pilots by the time we reach 61 airplanes. With CPP and other attrition, the most junior pilot today will easily be halfway up the list IF AC 61 ever arrives. I say if because I don't know how much an MOU is worth, other than as a cost-free recruiting ploy.

The question is can CommutAir successfully induct another 40 ERJs, park 16 dashes, and train 300 pilots by this time next year? If not then someone might be blowing smoke.

I would bet more money on Paris Hilton being a virgin.

1 new hire this month, that big bonus increase seems to be working

We’ve lost at least 4 that I know of, hard to grow when you’re shrinking

Positive me thinks that because of the accelerated dash transition training they don't need too many new hires in the pipeline. Negative me says they have increased the signing bonus, so they must want to hire but simply can't. The smart fish won't bite until the contract is improved or the instant upgrades come back. And the abused fish swim to other waters because nothing has been done about retention.

The instant upgrades aren't likely to come back. We are post growth now, and when / if we get the MOU converted to a contract for 21 more ERJs thats only 50% growth. We won't see long upgrades, because attrition is through the roof, but street captains IMHO isn't going to happen.
Most of the FO's on property are going to be eligible to upgrade in the next 8 months, and close to half in the next 4.

We don't need to hire a single person for the next 3-4 months. But in Feb. / March we need to have a class of 30 FO's show up.*

*Who can make it though training, not guys, who were not recommended to be hired by the pilot interviewer
