Currently looks a month or three north of 2 years. Same if you have 1000 121 as there are no upgrade time requirements besides that.

R0cknry,
Yes, they have me down for the Dec 1st class. I have been flying at 5am (3-4 hrs at a time) a few days per week and fitting in long 8-10 hrs flights on weekends. I found local guy working on time building as well, so we have been splitting hood time to save costs.
I do have some students, but even so, adding 200 hours in two months will be a good (yet fun) challenge.

Hey guys I decided to go with another carrier, but I interviewed with commutair.

I liked it, it seemed like a pretty solid company. In the interview they specifically mention that they are looking to hire captains, any gouge on the internet is pretty spot on.

I interviewed everywhere I could, and was offered class dates from most, (others want to wait until I had my time. ) The people who interviewed me were very professional and we're willing to work with me and my schedule to fly there and interview.

If commutair has what you want ,go there.

Just to clarify this post before we start a rumor, C5 is looking to hire individuals that can become captains down the road. Were not hiring street captains.

Sorry if I was not clear. They want to hire people that will be captains. As in they are trying to hire people in the right seat they feel will make a good left seat pilot

Yes we are looking for people that will make good captains. That being said, we need our "captains in training" to learn all they can in the relatively short time they are going to spend in the right seat. Just my observation but, occasionally there are people that feel that since they are now in the 121 world, they know everything. They feel that now they are more qualified to be captain than the captain they are with. This is a dangerous attitude. Point being, wherever you go, learn everything you can from everybody you are with. At C5 we have some great guys that are willing to teach and mentor. Oh and have fun too.

Random question for some C5 folks: I flew on you guys 3 times this weekend, and every single departure was late due to maintenance, according to United. Is this a trend or did I get the outlier for the line each day?
