This has been around for several years. In my mind, if this was going to happen it would have happened when United put in their money to ExpressJet.

Only rumor here is how the FOs are going to celebrate our pay going from $55 to $40 at the end of the month! I’m going to put my lost wages on, there are going to be some salty folks here, and rightly so!

I think the more likely scenario is that ALPA kicks the can down the road again.

Why is everyone getting bent outa shape about the second year pay? It wasn't supposed to be for newbies. It was for Dash skippers not to get a wage reduction by going FO on the 145.
If you all joined Commutair for the second year FO wage you should check your priorities.

The TSA shutdown makes me more worried about a merger. Seems if they can't get it to work with 37 planes at TSA, I don't know if we can get it to work with 40 planes here.
United might decide to pull the plug on C5 (unlikely) or use their 40% influence and get some sort of merger between XJT and C5. Would be easy to just merge the two, cut AW, and have their 50 seat feed be like the old American Eagle.

My crystal ball is different...maybe a ExpressJet/CommutAir merger or maybe not ... but what I could see instead CommutAir going back to Props if anyone ever builds a new one and ExpressJet being the UAX 145 operator.
Which leaves GoJets and Air Whisky....I could see them being merged...
What really interests me is if there is some reading of the tea leaves here to be done that the -145 may be more sustainable over the long term than the -200 and we may see a drawdown for both OO’s and ZW’s fleet of those as we see refurbed -145s come online.
