Onboarding!

Hi Guys ,

My Onboarding day is approaching at CLE and i'm wondering on !
1) what should I dress up like for that day ?
2) how an FO onbording like? , if a recent hire can describe the experience please.
3) Is there anything I should prepare for the onboading day ?

Thank you very much , any info much appreciated.

Officially it's "business casual" but I wore a pair of dress slacks and shirt. In other words, a suit sans tie and blazer. They are pretty casual, but you never want to give a bad impression.

The onboarding mostly involves a tour of the facilities and then sitting at a table with an HR person and pilot and answering a few questions. The logbook review will be trivial if you already have an ATP or more involved if you don't. Make sure you have tabbed all checkrides in the logbook for easy reference and provide a sheet of totals for all of your times. Don't make them work to figure out whether you qualify.

Just make sure you bring all of the things they ask you to bring, including all of the forms filled out to the extent possible, as well as IDs (including passport).

It's a relatively simple process. By this point you've passed the interview and they're just doing paperwork. Relax, smile, be prepared to ask a few questions, and enjoy. Not much more to it.

I did the suit and tie. Nothing you need to prepare for, just bring all your documents so they can make copies.

I’m impressed you found 3 ways to spell onboarding. Or as they say elsewhere, interviewing.

If he is headed to CLE, then he has already interviewed and passed. What is the old saying about opening mouth?

To Echo Jacburn, if you are headed to CLE just bring your things and dress for a first impression you’ve already been given the thumbs up. Most importantly welcome aboard, if I/any of us can be of any assistance please ask! It’s a team sport here. Something about rising tides and all that.
